Congeries Consignment

Hello! This is my first blog so i thought i would write about something buzzing in Santa Fe, Congeries Consignment.
Location: 1368 Cerrillos Rd at The White Swan Bld. (Next to discount tires)

Hours: 11:00 AM - 5:30 PM Tuesday - Sunday

Congeries Consignment is a two story building buzzing with locals and tourists. Its full of everyday trinkets and clothing to furniture and Art. The owner Shawn Vallecillo and Shelly Hamdy (Sisters) want to keep things simple with their Consignment Contract which is filled with information about bringing items in to be sold. Congeries has a 60% to you and 40% to Congeries policy, meaning when you bring your things in you will get 60% and Congeries receives 40% of the money made on your item. Shawn Vallecillo said "I have worked in Consignment stores in California and Taos for years. I wanted to do something different,    Instead of having an Consignment store where the merchandise is everyday things I wanted a Consignment store that carried everyday items and unusual items at high and low prices.". Shelly Hamdy said "My husband and I were in the antique business for years. When Shawn and I decided we wanted to own a consignment store we decided to combine our business experience's of antiques and consignment so we could have something you cant find anywhere except here.". Shawn and Shelly believe customer's are so distracted by the smaller things out on the floor they don't notice the huge hang glider hanging from the ceiling! The sisters want to keep Congeries Consignment at a price rang you can afford, Shawn says "The lowest priced item we have in the store is a $2.00 necklace, The highest item is a $6500.00 Metal horse that used to be in a museum in New Mexico.". The White Swan has 2 new business's inside the old building besides Congeries Consignment.
Antiques at Congeries Consignment And The White Swan is owned by Sal Hamdy, Shelly Hamdy's husband. Upstairs @ The White Swan has taken one of the floors upstairs which hasn't opened yet but will be opening soon, the owner is Monte Mcbride, Shawn and Shelly's mother. Shawn and Shelly both agree that Congeries has the feeling of a French flea market. With Congeries Consignment you can walk in any day with items to sell, no appointment is needed! Stop on by at Congeries Consignment and feel the feeling of a French flea market!
